There is a unique satisfaction when you play a natty Kendama. This minimalist setup allows the natural grain and beauty of each wood species to shine. Our cherry Kendamas are great for players looking for a well-rounded and durable natty Kendama with a deep clack sound.  This is the first time we’ve offered an un-painted cherry wood model on the luna shape and is a must-have for the purveyors of fine grains. Cherry wood has a rich, warm color palette and darkens to richer hues overtime with play and exposure to sunlight.

Features & Improvements

  • Luna shape Ken and Tama made of cherry wood
  • Engraved tama that is easy to track.
  • Sarado shaped for insane slingers
  • Large Cups for maximum Playability
  • Wide stall points with Crisp Cup Rims to lock in stall tricks
  • Deep Beveled Base-Cup Hole for great weight distribution
  • Includes replacement string & restringing tool

KAIZEN is the Japanese philosophy of constant improvement. We’ve applied this concept to our production process, aiming to improve every product that we put our name on. Each part of the Kaizen Kendama has been meticulously thought out by the Kendama USA team, making enhancements with the future of Kendama play in mind. The result is an affordable, premium Kendama specially crafted for the serious enthusiast.

The Kaizen Kendama features a 3 piece construction with traditional Japanese style handle assembly. We have updated the Ken shape for precision balance, and the tama bevel has been widened for enhanced play. We've intentionally set our starting spike length shorter out of the box. This allows the sarado to settle over time, eventually bringing the spike into an ideal length after a few sessions without going past the "point of no return."

Rosewood review

Except the slippery tama, this kendama is quite ideal for my style. I really love it ! The weight, the shape, the color and the smell are just amazing ! It would be great if you propose this rosewood ken with a sticky tama !

Thanks for the honest feedback Tevainui. Natural Kendamas are more challenging out of the box when compared to our superstick and silk Kendamas. However, they will also break in over time and provide a nice soft and textured surface that will grab onto tricks. If you want a natural kendama aesthetic with the benefits of our painted kendamas check out our natural kendamas with silk paint.

Very Suprised!

First time birch on birch and first time trying the Luna shape. Very light, very fun. Easy lunars no paint needed and if you like axes/underbirds this mod is for you, tama locks in between the big cup rim and ring stall; I would recommend playing this on a humid/ rainy day for maximum fun. Ken flipping feels natural with juggles as well. New favorite shape, good work KUSA!

Rubberwood is the GOAT

My new favorite set up. Not sure when I’ll play paint again. Luna shape in rubberwood was slapping lunars and stalls right out of the box.

Hey Grason, thanks for your positive review! We're stoked to hear that the luna shaped rubberwood has become your new favorite set up. We hope it continues to bring you success and enjoyment. Happy seshing!
